Thomas Born

Behind the Camera:
Born and raised in Basel, Switzerland, photography became Thomas’ obsession after a trip to Australia in 1989.

Thomas took a deep dive into the world of lenses and shutters and was the recipient of several national and international awards.

In 1995 Thomas realized his dream of moving to Canada. Over the next few years, the passion of photography got taken over by a new one, designing and building furniture and sculpture. Photography had changed to a more physical way of expressing and creating.
In 2011 the passion returned and is today a vital part of his professional and personal life. Thomas appreciates the diverse fields of photography as an artistic and documentary way of expressing his views on life.
